After the success of the Saga on the secondary market, Solana Mobile has opened pre-orders for its new Web3 smartphone: the Seeker. What do we know about this device specially designed to navigate the Solana (SOL) ecosystem?
Solana Mobile presents the Seeker, its new Web3 smartphone
After launching the Saga in 2023, rumors began to leak earlier this year that Solana Mobile was working on developing a new Web3 smartphone. Just a few hours ago, this expectation was realized, with the opening of pre-orders for a brand new model tailored for the Solana (SOL) ecosystem, the Seeker :

💡 How to easily invest in SOL?
While the Saga launched at $1,000, the Seeker is much more affordable, this one being billed at 450 dollars. On the hardware side, while the real technical characteristics do not seem to have been revealed yet to be able to judge them, the device seems to be positioned as a mid-range smartphone, with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
One interesting point, however, is the “Seed Vault Wallet” feature developed in partnership with Solfare, which turns the Seeker into a hardware wallet with biometric authentication.

Multiple partnerships
When the Saga was launched, it only gained public attention when it received generous airdrops, including BONK's. Thus, the community expects similar operations with the Seeker. According to comments collected by our colleagues at Cointelegraph from Emmett Hollyer, the CEO of Solana Labs, this model will be a “reward magnet“, although it will not necessarily be a “memecoin phone“.
Among the partnerships already presented, there is one with Helium Mobile, allowing access to its decentralized network for 4 months for free. On the gaming side, the smartphone will also give access to exclusive rewards in the Web3 game Parallel Colony.
Moreover, The Seeker will see an integrated “dApp Store”in order to easily navigate all the applications that make up the Solana (SOL) ecosystem.
While a few lucky people were able to largely reimburse the price of their Saga at the time thanks to airdrops, it will be a question of seeing if its successor will be as profitable.
