Dubbed Minato, Soneium's testnet offers ” a fast and cost-effective development environment to provide developers with an Ethereum-compatible platform “. This testnet will be done in collaboration with the zkEVM protocol of the Astar network.
The test network will be accessible to the publicallowing any Internet user to test the different functionalities of the blockchain.
As Sony states, This testnet should allow the creation of communities around the applications designed around its network. Its users will be able to interact and make comments around them and make possible modifications to them.

Also, developers will have access to development tools, including a software development kit, and to Soneium datasheetsallowing them to start building applications on layer 2.
