The Sparkasse warns of a new attempted fraud using phishing. Criminals send fake emails on behalf of the bank to get personal data.
These messages give the impression that the recipient receives important messages or has to carry out an S-ID check. The subject is “important new communications are waiting for you in your digital mailbox.”, “New document in your electronic mailbox!” or “Please check your S-ID check access”.
The Sparkasse urgently advises caution. The fraudulent emails are designed to capture sensitive information about and use it for illegal transactions. The Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe's computer emergency team warns against dealing with these emails.

If you suspect fraud, the Sparkasse recommends locking access to online banking immediately and contacting the bank. The risk of identity theft and financial losses is high.
