Starkweather and Shepley Insurance Brokerage (S&S) has announced that its vice president Theresa D’Orsi has been named an honoree of Providence Business News’ 2022 Business Women Awards Program.
The program honors the success of women in various industries such as healthcare, legal, accounting, and social services, among others. It also puts a spotlight on younger, professional “Women to Watch,” in addition to recognizing experienced “industry leaders.” According to S&S, D’Orsi is being recognized as an honoree under the Professional Services category of the Industry Leaders award.
“Women are still very underrepresented in the construction industry,” commented D’Orsi, who added that “mentorship can help close the gender gap in construction.”
D’Orsi joined S&S in 2016, bringing with her 37 years of insurance industry experience. She represents construction firms in the New England area, providing them with personalized assessments and customized insurance programs, S&S stated.
