As a Christmas bundle, Media Markt and Saturn are offering the Wi-Fi 6-capable top model from AVM together with the smart FritzDECT 500 LED lamp at an unbeatable price. The router costs even more if bought individually. Interested parties should hurry, because the deal is only valid until Christmas Eve or while stocks last.
WLAN lamp free of charge with the FritzBox 7590 AX
Although now Asus and Synology the FritzBox 7590 or their successor FritzBox 7590 AX with WiFi 6 from the top spot in the CHIP leaderboard (our colleagues from CHIP reported), the WLAN routers from the German manufacturer AVM are still very popular. No wonder: thanks to her integrated VDSL2 modems they do not require any additional devices and also shine with simple operation and long update supply.
As part of the Christmas campaign Media Market and Saturn will use the current AVM FritzBox 7590 AX together with the smart FritzDECT 500 LED lamp for only 222 euros offered. Compared to buying the two products individually, you save around 60 euros here. But it pays to be quick, because the bargain is only valid for a short time or while stocks last. The action itself is running to Saturday, December 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.

CHIP assessment of the AVM FritzBox 7590 AX
In the test, the FritzBox 7590 AX is characterized by good performance and excellent functionality, but the router does not have 2.5 gigabit interfaces. The rather high price was also criticized, especially since AVM initially called for 319 euros. In this respect, the offer from Media Markt and Saturn is a real bargain at 222 euros. You won’t get the router cheaper anywhere at the moment – the device alone (without additional LED lamps) already costs at least 240 euros.
If the price is still too high (the best price was 199 euros), you can take a look at the predecessor AVM FritzBox 7590, which is regularly available for less than 200 euros. In line with the higher price, you are of course better equipped for the future with the AX variant – and it will probably not be available much cheaper by the end of the year.
