Dhe VfB Stuttgart remains in the first Bundesliga. In the second leg of the relegation for the last remaining place in league one, Stuttgart won 3-1 (0-1) at Hamburger SV. Sonny Kittel (6th minute) scored the goal for Hamburg in front of 57,000 spectators. Enzo Millot (48th/65th) scored twice for Stuttgart. A few minutes before the final whistle, Silas Katompa Mvumpa (90+7) also scored for VfB.
Due to the 3:0 victory in the first leg, the Stuttgart team prevailed with a total of 6:1 goals. Hamburger SV around coach Tim Walter has to compete again in the second Bundesliga. Hamburg also failed in the relegation last season. The 2023/24 season is the sixth consecutive second division season for the club.
