The Lebanese Hezbollah, which is allied with the Syrian government, is apparently withdrawing its fighters from the Syrian city of Homs and the outskirts of the capital Damascus. The militia had ordered its fighters to withdraw from Homs in the past few hours, the AFP news agency learned on Sunday from people close to Hezbollah. Some of them were supposed to go to Latakia in Syria, others to the Hermel region in Lebanon. Hezbollah fighters also evacuated their positions around Damascus.
