Using user-operated nodes, Grass extracts and processes raw data available online, transforming it into structured data sets suitable for artificial intelligence (AI) learning. With the introduction of “Grass Points”, the protocol sought to motivate users to contribute to its evolution.
Today, users who have allocated part of their bandwidth to Grass have the possibility of recovering GRASS tokens via the distribution of an airdrop.

Concerning the distribution of GRASS tokens, 30% of the supply will be paid to the community, including 10% via this first airdrop. The remaining 20% will be distributed in the form of future incentives.
Then, 22.8% of the GRASS token supply will be paid to the Foundation and dedicated to the growth of the ecosystem via the project's decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). 25.2% will be paid to project investors, while 22% will go to contributors.

The total supply has been set at 1 billion GRASS tokensand 25% were launched at TGE.

To claim the Grass airdrop, it was necessary to have obtained at least 500 Grass Points at the time of the snapshot. A significant airdrop therefore, since 2.5 million nodes are currently listed on Grass.
According to CoinGecko data, GRASS token currently trades at $0.75, down 17% since launch. It therefore seems that, for the moment, investors eligible for the Grass airdrop have opted for a sale of their tokens. This is reminiscent of the evolution of the price of the layer 2 Scroll token SCR, down almost 50% since its ATH.
