The amount that the state of Berlin will cut from culture in the coming year is one hundred and thirty million euros – a significantly disproportionate share of the total cuts of three billion. In an initial reaction, the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt canceled its planned eight-day festival “Projections”, at which numerous independent artists were supposed to perform in February alongside ensembles such as the Jack Quartet and the B'rock Orchestra.
