With colleagues, with strangers, standing, sitting, with a round of beer or a bottle of wine: There are many ways to round off the end of the day. Frankfurt in particular has a number of opportunities to offer.
EThere have been some praises sung for pump rooms, especially during the pandemic when they have become the last resorts to replace the socializing of pubs, clubs, festivals and stadium visits. Many kiosks, which in a cosmopolitan area like the Rhine-Main region can also be called Wasserhäuschen, Spätis and Büdchen, continue to do this. Some have even become after-work hotspots.
That applies to the Yok Yok in Frankfurt’s Bahnhofsviertel anyway, although there’s something going on here almost around the clock. At the intersection of the train station and banking district, where there is a kiosk aptly named “Das Investment”, lawyers, bankers, business travelers and students tend to come in the early evening, sometimes with company, often alone. The most sought-after product is the “beer to go” on spring evenings, which is also a habit that has remained from the pandemic.
