Camille Juraj will succeed Sheila Reesor as executive director of the Toronto Insurance Council (TIC), effective February 2025, the association announced Friday.
Reesor officially retires on Feb. 28, 2025. She has been the TIC’s executive director since 2005.
Juraj officially joined the TIC on Dec. 2, 2024. The plan is for her to take over the executive director role leading up to Reesor’s retirement.
Juraj was previously the executive director of the CFA Society, a non-profit professional association of investment and finance professionals, in Victoria, B.C. She has recently moved back to Ontario with her family.
She is a Certified Meeting Professional with more than 20 years of experience planning and producing high-profile corporate events.
Juraj has also owned multiple businesses over the years, TIC announced. She has acted in film/television, is a certified coach, and is a published fiction author.
She said she looks forward to “contributing to the TIC’s long-standing reputation and commitment to excellence over the years.”
