According to the authorities, a civilian was killed in new night attacks on the Ukrainian Black Sea port of Odessa. “Odessa: another night attack of the monsters,” writes Oleh Kiper, governor of southern Ukraine’s Odessa region on the messaging app Telegram. “Unfortunately, as a result of the night terrorist attack by the Russians on Odessa, one civilian died.” Shortly before he had 18 injured, including four children, spoken. Of the injured, 14 were taken to the hospital, including three children.
The chief of staff of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, demanded in view of the renewed Russian shelling more missile defense systems and tactical missiles for his country.
Since the agreement on exporting Ukrainian grain from Black Sea ports expired on Monday, Russia had repeatedly attacked the port cities of Odessa and Mykolaiv, according to Ukrainian sources. According to Kiev, Russia specifically targeted port infrastructure to make it impossible to resume Ukrainian grain exports across the Black Sea. The Russian army assures that it only shells military installations.
