Usha Kumara was born on Sunday, 2 April 1995 (age 27 years; as of 2022) in Hassan, Karnataka, India. Her full name is Natesh Kumara Usha Bannur (also known as B.N Usha or Usha Teju Kumar). Her zodiac sign is Aries. She has done graduation and PGDCA from Alva’s College, Moodbidri, Karnataka affiliated to Mangalore University. She participated in various weightlifting and powerlifting competitions at college, national and international levels.

In 2014, she took part in the Subrata Classic International Powerlifting Championship 2014 held at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. She participated in the All India Inter University Powerlifting Championship held at Punjab University, Chandigarh in 2017. In 2018, she started participating in weightlifting competitions.
