- The simplest way to check the status is by visiting the official SASSA website, which is srd.sassa.gov.za and logging into the registered account.
- Another easy way to check the status is by messaging via sim network or Whatsapp to 082 046 8553or 0600 123 456
- Moreover, there’s an application called Moya App dedicated to deal with queries related to SASSA R350 grant which can be used to inquire about the SRD status check.
- If nothing else seems feasible, then individuals can simply call on 0800 60 10 11 to check their existing status.
Once the registration process is completed, SASSA then verifies the details provided by the applicant. After the verification process is completed and the application is approved, the grant payment is transferred in two to three days into the individual’s bank account OR the payment can be collected from the registered retail stores and supermarkets.
Some important points to remember:
Each month, the SASSA grant payments are made on different dates; meaning, the date of the grant pay out of this month would be different from the grant pay out date of the last month and of the coming month.
The grant payment is reviewed and announced every month, therefore, It’s important to keep a check on your SRD status each month to see whether you still qualify for the SRD grant payment or not. This way, you can know about your ineligibility before it’s too late and save you from any sort of inconvenience.
In case your application is rejected, you will be eligible to apply again after 30 days.
As announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa, the Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) has been extended until March 2023
