White House to hold videoconference meeting with crypto officials on Monday
Now that cryptocurrency has become a major campaign issue in the United States, the Democratic camp has been forced to review its copy. In this continuity, White House officials hold meeting in a video conference on Monday with crypto industry executives.
The meeting is being hosted by California Democratic Representative Ro Khanna. According to a person familiar with the matter who has remained anonymous, at least three other senior figures are expected to attend: Deputy Chief of Staff Bruce Reed, National Economic Advisor Lael Brainard, and White House Advisor Anita Dunn. Dunn is leaving her position to join a $300 million political action committee (Super PAC).
A first round table was organized last month by the White Housewhich included executives from Coinbase and Ripple, for example. At the same meeting, the Winklevoss twins, who were originally scheduled to attend, had their invitation revoked after showing their support for Donald Trump.

After nearly 4 years of hostile policies towards the ecosystem, Democrats had to take up the crypto topic as soon as Donald Trump made it one of his hobby horses. It will now be a question of seeing what measures Kamala Harris could propose, in an attempt to win votes from the defenders of the industry.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at $60,700, down 1.6% over the past 24 hours.
