Paul Jackson is Zurich Canada’s new head of customer and market management.

In his new role, Jackson will play a key part in advancing Zurich Canada’s middle market and retail segments, as well as strengthening its national accounts portfolio. He will join Zurich Canada’s executive committee and report to CEO Saad Mered

Jackson’s appointment drew more than 130 LinkedIn comments from industry well-wishers, including the CEO of Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC), Peter Braid.

Jackson has more than 25 years of industry experience in Canada and internationally.
Previously, he served as chief operating officer at Gore Mutual, where he led underwriting, claims, pricing, distribution and marketing. He played a significant role in driving Gore’s enterprise transformation over the past few years, and positioning the business for strategic change.
Jackson’s has also held various senior executive positions at Aviva, including vice president of distribution at Aviva Canada, head of general insurance and head of marketing at Aviva Singapore, and various distribution roles at Aviva UK.
He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sunderland.
