On Friday, the Bundestag approved the planned extension of the service life for the remaining three German nuclear power plants. Because of the energy crisis, they should not only run until the turn of the year, but until mid-April. Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) decreed this solution after a long coalition dispute.
