In the future, WhatsApp users will be able to delete messages that have been sent for a significantly longer time from the chats. After an update, this is possible for up to two days.
WhatsApp has the ability to delete text messages that have been accidentally sent. The timeframe available to users was only about an hour. Now the developers have announced that this period will be extended.
Time window for deleting WhatsApp messages is significantly increased.
In a post on Twitter, WhatsApp announced that the time window will now be extended to just over 2 days. That’s a huge leap from the previous time window of just over an hour.
For this to work, however, all users must have the latest version of WhatsApp installed. In the next few days, however, all users should have installed the latest version via the automatic update.
