The amazing feeling about being in love is that you end up being spontaneous at any given moment on any given day, and sometimes that spontaneity takes people to levels of acting in crazy ways like just jumping on a jet plane and flying to Seattle. Haven’t you ever told your boyfriend or girlfriend or husband or wife just randomly about taking a weekend trip to a place you haven’t been too? It should happen when you are in love.
One of the places that many couples romantically venture off to is, Seattle Washington, and why not, it’s one of the most beautiful places in America. With a climate that is considered to be very oceanic, with mild wet winters and cool dry summers, couples tend to stay close together sparking up true intimacy. Well there is the rain in which Seattle is known for, and nothing really compares to kissing in the rain, the intimate drops of rain bounce off each others skin as you passionately kiss one another, it almost feels as though you are in Paris, France.
The moment that you slowly exit the plane at the Sea-Tac airport you can jump on the Sound Transit or the Sounder commuter rail and while cozying up on the comfortable public transportation that Seattle has to offer, on your way to one of the many little romantic neighborhoods the Seattle area has to offer with hotels and vacation rentals. Truly to make this weekend get away romantic, I highly suggest going with a cute and small vacation rental opposed to a hotel, with a vacation rental like a home, condo, or apartment you will have extra amount of privacy that a hotel really can not offer. Well to top it off, I would go with a vacation rental along the water; there is just something so romantic about snuggling up and making out by the water in Seattle.
Some of the areas that I suggest you look for a vacation rental might be Magnolia, Wallingford, Green Lake, University District, Ballard, Ravenna, West Seattle, Lake City, Pinehurst, Northgate, Bitter Lake, and Greenwood. These Seattle neighborhoods are know for some cute and private vacation home rentals for affordable prices. Back to the romance, after you check into your rental, and some quick freshening up, and maybe a little couple’s massage, it is time to head out and enjoy the city.
First off is you should head down to Seacrest Park over on Harbor Ave, as this is a park that is near the water and is very romantic. This park romance is delivered from the great view of downtown Seattle, and it lacks bright lights. The lacking of bright lights really makes it a perfect place to snuggle up together while viewing the picture-perfect Seattle Skyline. After your visit to the park, you have worked up an appetite and it is now time to try some of the romantic Seattle restaurants.
There are so many romantic restaurants to try in Seattle but I have narrowed the list down to 3 choices; Boat Street Cafe, Lark, and La Rustica. Boat Street Cafe, has the perfect lighting with very well spaced out tables with a sense of seclusion. When you are in this establishment you feel as though you are all-alone, and definitely try the Fromage and the Roasted Cauliflower, they are staples in their menu.
Next the award winning Chef Johnathan Sundstrom runs the Restaurant Lark, he is a culinary artist whom delivers romance on each and every plate he cooks up. Everything he cooks up looks beautiful, from the Taleggio to the Crispy Liberty Farm Duck Leg to the Chocolate Madelines and to top it off the wine list is very diverse. You do need wine to make it romantic.
The last restaurant choice I have is La Rustica, this is a place that tends to get crowded, as you will be sitting close with others, but this is a place that people go to specifically with their loved ones for romance so you won’t have little kids running around or college students being loud, it is for romance only. When you go to this romantic Italian spot be sure to try the Gnocchi or the Risotto, romance melts from those dishes from the plate to your mouth.
