AYe, also known as Kanye West, should refrain from unannounced visits in the future. The rapper, who has been attracting attention for weeks with hate speech, conspiracy theories and anti-Semitic slogans, was thrown out of the headquarters of the shoe manufacturer Skechers in Manhattan Beach near Los Angeles on Wednesday after he showed up there unannounced and without an invitation.
As the company announced, the ejection should have been preceded by a short conversation with the forty-five-year-old. In addition, Ye and his companions are said to have taken photos in the company building without permission. “We have no intention of working with West,” Skechers said.
The largest shoe manufacturer in the world followed companies like Balenciaga, The Gap and Adidas, which had also turned their backs on the rapper (“Praise God”) in recent weeks.
Ye, whose marriage to Kim Kardashian broke up almost two years ago, had previously repeatedly spoken disparagingly of Jews. The Holocaust Museum in Los Angeles then asked the Grammy award winner to visit. Since Ye turned down the invitation, the museum has been inundated with anti-Semitic slurs on social media, according to Ye.
