A seaplane crashes off the American coast en route to Seattle. A body can be recovered, nine other passengers are still missing.
VA seaplane carrying ten people on board has crashed off the coast of Washington state. The body of one person was recovered, the other nine occupants were missing, the US Coast Guard said on Sunday (local time).
Emergency services searched for the missing with boats and also from the air. A child was among the passengers.
According to the information, the machine was on its way to Seattle-Tacoma Airport from San Juan Island near the Canadian border in the afternoon. About halfway, she crashed into Mutiny Bay west of Whidbey Island for reasons unknown.
