Lots of data volume at a fair price
Telefónica was previously the cheapest mobile phone provider in Germany. In spring, however, the basic prices are to be increased by up to ten percent (we reported). If you want to continue surfing the mobile Internet cheaply and make unlimited calls and texts, you should take a look at the Throw offer from handyvertrag.de: There is currently one there Allnet flat rate with 20 GB LTE data volume for only 11.99 instead of 19.99 euros per month. All this takes place in the o2 or Telefónica network. If you can do without 5G, you will be spared the announced price increases.
The data transfer rate is 50 MBit/s in download and 32 MBit/s in upload. After the 20 GB has been used up, the speed is reduced to 16 kbit/s – important: You should definitely deactivate the data automatic in advance. Otherwise, an additional 300 MB of data is automatically booked up to three times a month for two euros each before the throttling comes into effect. We recommend eliminating this cost trap right at the start of the contract with a short phone call to customer service.
Then the so-called tethered nothing in the way. This is permitted by the mobile network provider, so that you can set up your smartphone as a WLAN hotspot for friends or other devices such as notebooks and tablets when you are out and about. EU roaming is of course also included in the tariff. The minimum contract period is 24 months. In contrast to other mobile phone discounters, however, the price does not seem to increase afterwards.
The provision price (aka connection fee) does not apply to the offer. Take your current phone number with you, write to you handyvertrag.de a change bonus of 50 euros. This is offset against the connection and tariff prices, so that there are no costs for the first few months. The bottom line is that you only pay 9.91 euros per month during the minimum term.

That’s what the CHIP experts say about the tariff
At a price of 11.99 euros for 20 GB LTE data volume including all-network flat rate, you can’t complain. However, the data automatic is switched on by default, which costs up to six euros per month on top (for just an additional 900 MB). You should deactivate this directly at the beginning of the contract, which is easily possible via the customer hotline (06181 7074 243) or the service world. In the ordering process, you will be offered further fee-based tariff options – so do not tick the box prematurely. If you take all of this into account, you can use the tariff to surf and make phone calls at low prices over the long term. The transmission rate of 50 MBit/s is okay, although some other cell phone discounters offer more. With Telefónica direct, up to 300 Mbit/s are even possible.
