The Machines Arena currently has a PvE mode (player versus environment) and 2 PvP modes (player versus player). Player versus player clashes benefit from matchmaking adapted to each player's level, with the traditional “ranked” and “quick” modes.
The publisher specifies, as often, that new content will be added over time, for example with new maps, the “Skirmish” mode, which is none other than a team deathmatch, or even “l 'Ultimate League'. This ultimate league will allow players to customize their characters like in an RPG, to create the fighter of their dreams before facing their opponents.
Detonation
In this game mode, the 2 teams are divided into 2 camps: attackers and defenders. The attacking team's objective is simple: grab the detonator and place it on one of the two detonation sites located on either side of the map. Once the latter is placed, they must defend it until it explodes.
Some will undoubtedly see a concept very close to that of Counter-Strike. Make no mistake, that's exactly the idea of this game mode.

In The Machines Arena Escort mode, 2 teams compete to push a cart into the opposing team's base. The cart tracks are divided into 3 zones: one for each team and a neutral zone.
Teams win by pushing the cart into the enemy team's zone before time runs out. If the cart is still in the neutral zone when the timer runs out, overtime mode will begin, and each side's boundaries will tighten until the cart moves out of the neutral zone.

Tanks available in The Machines Arena
- Riot : equipped with a sword and a shield, he is the tank par excellence. Able to attract his opponents to him or charge them with his ultimate, he is an essential member of the team in Escort mode;
- Pyro : a very explosive pyromancer, capable of healing herself while burning her opponents. She is the aggressive tank of the trio, being able to rush into the enemy team to maximize her impact on the game;
- Daye : probably the least fun tank currently, it has a wall to control areas and good ranged damage. However, he remains the weakest of the trio.

- Tesla : She is the best healer in the game, by far. You will want to play with Tesla or have him on your team if your goal is to win. Each of his spells can heal your allies, and his ultimate is capable of restoring all the life points of your entire team. Just that;
- Ozymandias : its healing abilities are weak, quite unlike its poisons, which are a real pain in Detonation mode. An underrated character;
- Devol : the expert engineer in turrets and band care areas. It is not the best support: its damage is low and its healing capacity too slow. Do not play him unless quests are available for this character.

- Bravo Zulu : Zulu is an excellent character to start The Machines Arena adventure. It has excellent damage and a devastating ultimate. Its weak point: its mobility;

- Nightcore : the character with the highest level of skill cap in the game. He is an assassin as fast and powerful as he is fragile. Only the best players will manage to handle this character with skill.
