What’s been happening to Paymium for the past few days? Without communication previously sent to its customers by email and on social networks, the company suspended the trading activities available on its exchange. Despite everything, the company wants to be reassuring and still allows the withdrawal of funds deposited on its platform by its users. We take stock of the situation.
Trading inaccessible for 7 days
It has now been a week since users of the Paymium platform are unable to trade with their funds. The source of this problem is the suspension of the collaboration between the French company and the company Railsr.
The reason ? Railsr has had its license revoked banking, preventing him from continuing his commercial activities. As a result, Paymium has been forced to close its trading services: it is currently impossible to exchange euros for cryptocurrencies there, and vice versa.
“ The end of this collaboration has the immediate consequence of interrupting certain services of the Paymium platform. These are essentially services around the euro and trading. »
Note that at the writing of these lines, deposits in euros are unavailable on the platform, as is their over-the-counter (OTC) service. However, the company based in the Paris region would like to point out that withdrawals in cryptocurrencies and euros remain open to their customers.
Indeed, as Paymium specifies on its site, its teams store and secure the cryptocurrency wallets of their users themselves: the end of this collaboration with Railsr therefore does not impact the funds of its customers.
Despite everything, some criticisms are heard from users because the company has not made any communication on the subject either by email or on the social networks Twitter and LinkedIn. The company contented itself with a blog post published on its site.
💡 To obtain additional information on the situation, we contacted the Paymium teams, without response. If a new communication reaches us in the next few days, we will update this article.
