Alexander Steinforth sees “great potential”. Tom Brady from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will probably also be seen in Munich.

Alexander Steinforth, head of the NFL Germany, reveals in an interview how children get excited about American football, what makes the league so exciting – and how even football benefits.
“No professional wants their child to play football,” said former German NFL player Uwe von Schamann in an interview with the FAZ. He was referring to the enormous risk of injury. How would you answer this claim?
Well, I know enough professional football players who are absolutely convinced that this is also a good path for their children or their families. A few weeks ago we were with the NFL at the Oktoberfest in Munich and there was a former player from the USA whose son now plays with the New Orleans Saints. Of course, football is a sport that is physically intense and certainly injury-prone. But football is also, in my opinion, a very fascinating sport, so I wouldn’t agree with that statement. Because I’ve had the experience that many, many players say: hey, if my kids want to do it, they’re welcome.
