In 2022, Vineeth was arrested by the police for attacking a youth, Alex. It was reported that Vineeth had taken Rs. 6 lakh from Alex and returned only Rs. 3 Lakh. On 25 July 2022, when Alex went to Vineeth’s house to ask him for the money, he beat him after which Alex was admitted to the hospital. Vineeth was arrested and was charged under Section 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) of the Indian Penal Code.
